Cookies - Google Analytics

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the user’s computer when visiting a website. A distinction is made between permanent and temporary cookies on the one hand and direct and indirect cookies on the other hand. Cookies are permanent when they remain on the user’s computer, even after the user has closed the browser; temporary cookies disappear as soon as the user has closed the browser. Direct cookies are sent by the website itself; indirect cookies in turn originate from third parties. Some of these cookies remember functional preferences such as the user’s choice of language. Other cookies must allow an analysis of information such as the number of visits to a website. Other cookies are used for marketing purposes.

Which cookies does Aspex use and why?

Aspex uses cookies for both functional and analytical purposes. These cookies only serve to improve the user experience of visitors to our website. Aspex does not collect personal data through cookies.

Functional cookies

The functional cookies (permanent and direct) on the Aspex website record the preferences entered by the visitor (e.g. choice of language) and recognise the visitor when he revisits the website. The advantage of the functional cookies is that the visitor does not have to enter their preferences again and again, making the website easier to use. You can delete these functional cookies via the settings of your browser. Below you will find how to do this.

Cookies for analytical purposes

This website also uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) for statistical purposes. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze how visitors use the Aspex website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the Aspex website (including your IP address, the time you visit the site, the type of browser you use, the pages you view and the files you download) is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information to compile reports on website activity for Aspex. Google may not provide this information to third parties unless Google is legally obliged to do so. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using the Aspex website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Google adheres to the Safe Harbor principles and is affiliated with the Safe Harbor program of the U.S. Department of Commerce. If you do not want data about your website visit to be passed on to Google Analytics, you can download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
